What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loader 1st shift position at Gojob?
Gojob is hiring Car Loaders for a global automotive manufacturing company in Smyrna, TN. You will be responsible for loading new vehicles into railcars.

Pay rate : $19 / hr
Shift Available :
1st : 7am - 3 : 30pm, M-F
What You Will Do :
- Prepare railcars for shipment, opening and closing railcar doors, setting bridge plates, blowing trash out of railcars, chocking vehicles, chock replacement.
- Load and unload vehicles onto railcars in compliance with company quality standards
- Ensure vehicles are properly spaced within the rail, secure vehicles according to customer standards onto outbound railcars.
- Perform repair and maintenance work- welding, metal cutting, etc.
- Maintain buck loader / ramps-lubing railcars, graphite door tracks, and other moving mechanical parts, etc.
- Conduct monthly inspections on bridge plates and paint bridge plates as needed.
Qualifications :
- Welding experience preferred but not required
- Previous rail department or mechanical experience preferred.
- Able to work within the confined spaces of a railcar and work at heights of 20 feet 2 inches.
