What are the responsibilities and job description for the Videographer/Editor position at Gold Coast Lacrosse?
Gold Coast is seeking a dynamic and talented Videographer & Editor, dedicated to capturing and producing captivating footage of girls lacrosse games. This role involves filming games, editing footage, and creating engaging content for social media platforms. Travel to various locations for game coverage is required.
- Filming Games: Attend girls lacrosse games and effectively capture key moments, player actions, and overall gameplay.
- Hours: Commit to 5 tournaments filming 2-3 days each tournament approximately 10-12 hour days. Dates include June 14th-16th. June 21st-23rd. June 28th-30th. July 12th-14th. Filming in various weather conditions is expected.
- Editing Footage: Edit raw footage into engaging highlight reels, social media posts, and other promotional materials. Ensure high-quality editing techniques are employed to enhance the viewing experience.
- Social Media Content Creation: Develop and produce engaging video content tailored for various social media platforms. Create short, attention-grabbing clips to spotlight player skills
- Travel: Travel to different locations including but not limited to Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland as needed to film games, which may include weekends and evenings.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with administration, coaches, players, to understand specific filming requirements and desired content.
- Equipment: Equipment will not be provided and hire will provide all equipment needed to produce end product. This includes video equipment, hardware, and software.
- Deadline Management: Manage deadlines for delivering edited footage, ensuring timely completion of projects
- Experience: Previous experience in videography and video editing with business social accounts, analytics, content management particularly in sports-related content creation, is highly desirable. Experience with Greenfly platform a plus.
- Creativity: Strong creative vision and the ability to translate it into visually compelling content.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in filming and editing to ensure the highest quality output.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with administration
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing schedules, locations, and game conditions.
- Passion for Sports: A genuine interest in girl’s lacrosse or sports in general is preferred, as enthusiasm for the game translates into better footage.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing previous videography and editing work, particularly in sports-related content, is required.
Additional Information:
- This is a part-time position with hours varying depending on game schedules.
- Compensation will be commensurate with experience and expertise.
- Travel expenses including accommodations will be covered by the organization.
