CPMG offers flexible, integrative solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) contractors, among others, and specializes in cybersecurity, information and operational technology, electronic security surveillance, and support services.

 

Summary:

CP Marine, LLC is looking for a Policy Legislative Specialist. The Policy Legislative Specialist shall serve as the knowledge expert for documenting Informational and/or Operational Technology Policy and Requirements for connected devices and processes. This Specialist shall work with the Government and other team members to develop and maintain the FSD cyber security to ensure all Presidential and DoD mandates are adhered to.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage external and internal communications and correspondence control for the program’s legislative affairs activities
  • Track legislation and other Congressional activities affecting the program and support coordination, planning, and execution of all Congressional engagements
  • Keep abreast of pending legislation, industry trends and current events that impact clients and prospective clients
  • Develop and iterate policy language collaboratively with a team of specialists
  • Consult closely with policy owners, stakeholders, legal experts, and labor relations specialists to draft and edit policy language
  • Other legislative support functions as required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Telecommunications, or Management Information Systems
  • Minimum three (3) years of documented experience relevant to this key position.
  • Alternatively, have 10 years of documented experience relevant to this key position
  • Minimum three (3) years of the following:
    • Writing policy for a Government agency Policy experience with an Information Technology, Engineering, or FRCS Policy Environment
    • Experience Policy Development and Strategic Plans Supporting DoD Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (DIARMF)
    • Experience regarding the ability to communicate technical information to other technical team members but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking technical terminology.
    • Experience with developing and documenting processes and procedures for the day-to-day operations
    • Minimum of Top-Secret Clearance is required
