Summary:
Nisga’a TEK, LLC is looking for Ammunition Specialist. The Specialist will be responsible for the management of ordnance (ammunition and explosives). They are tasked with receiving, storing, and issuing conventional ammunition, guided missiles, large rockets, explosives and other ammunition and explosive related items.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform maintenance modification, destruction and demilitarization on ammunition and explosive components
Operate computer hardware and software/utilities manual records in order to perform stock control and accounting procedures
Perform ammunition supply stock control and accounting duties using both automated and manual procedures
Inspect weapon systems to determine need for repair or destruction
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
Experience with AA&E logistics services such as receipt, transport, storage, inventory accountability, exercise of explosive safety risks mitigation measures, exercise of physical security measures, issue, storage facilities material condition monitoring, preparation for demilitarization or disposal, and preparation for shipping, compliant with governing regulations, policies, and procedures
Proficient user of Microsoft’s Office 365 suite of software and applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Microsoft’s SharePoint
Prior military AA&E logistics experience
Forklift operation experience
Total Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS) experience
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
Minimum four (4) years of related experience
Prior military AA&E logistics experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
