Project Manager

Summary:

The Project Management will be responsible for the management and execution of operations for the project in support of the assigned contracts. The candidate will possess outstanding leadership skills, motivational skills, proven people skills and an understanding of the communications construction industry. Candidate must be hands-on, energetic, and possess excellent customer relations skills.

Essential Job Functions:

• Determine and define project scope and objectives
• Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
• Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement        
• Maintains ongoing contact with the customer to encourage relationship building.
• Develop and maintain appropriate intercompany communication for strong partnership building.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate instructions and solutions to a team or members of all technical levels.
• Must be able to organize and prioritize multiple simultaneous requests and work under deadlines.
• Responsible for financial aspects of the project to include budget planning, invoicing, managing subcontractor costs and other various indirect and or direct costs as it applies to the project

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of project management and related experience in the government contracting space.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
• Knowledge of government acquisition lifecycle to include pre-award, award and post award activities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Security or other related IT IAM level I.
• Strong computer skills
• Positive attitude
• Self-starter who is able to handle multiple issues simultaneously.
