SUMMARY:
Goldbelt Transportation is seeking a Bus Driver. Under the direction of the General Manager, Goldbelt Transportation LLC, is responsible for operating a 40’ passenger bus, providing transportation for Coeur Kensington Mine Workers, ensuring passenger safety and satisfaction. This position can be full-time, part-time or intermittent.
Qualifications
NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Ability to safely drive a passenger bus in all types of weather, road conditions, and in darkness
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
- Ability to perform minor maintenance on the bus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle emergency or stressful situations in a calm manner
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to install tire chains
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
- Forty-foot passenger bus, mobile radio, telephone, and hand tools used in the maintenance of vehicles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- At least 19 years of age and have held a driver’s license for at least one year;
- Current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (Class B) with passenger and air brake endorsements;
- Possess a medical certificate for CDL drivers;
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug test
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPR Certification

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Movement in/out of a passenger vehicle; maneuvering through traffic; customer interaction and communication; exposure to varied weather and road conditions. Smoking is not allowed on the bus.

JOB DUTIES:
- Complies at all times with safety and traffic regulations and requirements while driving the bus.
- Assists with loading and unloading of passengers and freight.
