SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst works closely with Senior Management and the operations team in maintaining financial planning and analysis for Goldbelt, The Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports/analysis and serve as a liaison to assist leadership with all their financial needs. Reporting to the GM, the Financial Analyst will also provide regular support to other Finance-related functions such as the reconciling daily sales, recording/reporting on sales, AR Invoicing, working with dept managers to ensure timely processing of AP Invoices, credit card expense reporting, and month end close process. The Financial Analyst will work closely with Corporate Accounting, Subsidiary Management and other departments as necessary.

NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with accounting team members, operational staff, external parties and upper management.
• Good communication skills for communicating within the organization and with external parties
• Ability to compile and understand large amounts of data and use that data to create well-polished presentation materials

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, skills)

• 3-5 years of accounting/clerical/administrative experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance – experience can be substituted.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, skills)

• Experience with Deltek
• Experience operating in multi-subsidiary environments strongly

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear.  The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.  The office is a non-smoking facility with designated outside-smoking areas.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

• Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management
• Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting
• Recording / Reconciling Daily Sales
• Recording / Processing AR/AP/Expense reporting to Corporate
• Assist GM/Dept managers with annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization’s financial, planning and business intelligence systems
• Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of new regulations or policies
• Develop models that help with decision-making
• Ad hoc financial analysis projects and report preparation as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
