Job Summary / Purpose
Golden Pass LNG, a joint venture of QatarEnergy & ExxonMobil, has an exciting opportunity for maintenance measurement technician at our Sabine Pass, TX location (approximately 10 minutes from Port Arthur, TX). We are looking for team members that have a proven track record of providing support, have strong intrapersonal and communication skills, and are self-motivated and self-directed to be a part of our transformation from an import facility to the premier LNG exporter in North America.
The measurement technician will be responsible for basic aspects of natural gas measurement including but not limited to the installation, operations, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of analytical, measurement, communications, and instrumentation and controls equipment. This person will also be held accountable for all aspects of gas measurement within the facility including but not limited to the day-to-day upkeep and calibration of analytical sampling, measurement and telemetry equipment and safe operations of the Golden Pass Pipeline and Golden Pass Terminal. The measurement technician will schedule the collection of measurement data on a monthly basis including ultrasonic meters and will be responsible for supporting the monthly gathering system balancing review and any variance troubleshooting of his assigned geographical area. This person will also be schedule witnessing of custody delivery point meter calibration, inspection and sampling and will be required to replace defective pressure and temperature transmitters, telemetry and other basic parts as directed.
Essential Duties / Functions
1. Perform routine maintenance and calibrations, repairs and preventative maintenance on measurement equipment in order to ensure instruments are in compliance with Golden Pass measurement program and industry standards.
2. Be able to analyze and validate data from custody meters for product coming into and leaving the facility.
3. Strong experience with liquid/ gas flow computers and custody transfer meters.
4. Help drive improvements to the maintenance work practices.
5. Audit vendor to meet company expectations, routinely monitor services provided by 3rd party vendors to maintain company safety standards.
6. Respond to call-outs in a timely manner on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
7. Proactively ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with the Safety Management System, including safety regulations and positively support all safety initiatives and improvements.
8. Ensure the maintenance and records of safety critical elements are maintained as part of all maintenance activities.
9. Actively participate in all aspects of maintenance activities and provide input.
10. Perform inspections in accordance with plant safety, federal and state regulations to ensure compliance.
11. Ability to maintain qualifications and operate all support equipment required in the performance of daily duties.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position.
High School Diploma and relevant work experience required
Bachelor or Associate degree or relevant technical discipline or equivalent work experience preferred.
