Looking for a seasonal weekend job to earn extra cash?
Peddler’s Village is hiring seasonal staff to work outside at our weekend festivals and events one weekend a month.
Festivals and Events Team will need assists with set up and production of the events which include the following duties:
Peddler’s Village Merchandise Sales Booths
- Sell items related to individual festivals: jams, t-shirts, umbrellas, mugs, and food items.
- Duties include: cash handling, prepping products for sale, bagging products and interacting with guests.
- Lifting and restocking merchandise.
- Note: Job would require standing/walking on your feet for most of the event and some heavy lifting.
Children’s Activities
- Assisting with a variety of children’s activities such as story time, crafts, bounce houses, crafts, and games.
- Duties include assisting guests with crafts, demonstrating activities, and supervising games.
- Note: Must enjoy working with children and would require standing/walking on your feet for most of the event and some heavy lifting.
Festival Clean-Up
- Duties include returning items to the Festivals office, tidying up, and prepping for the next day.
- Note: Job would require standing/walking on your feet for most of the event and some heavy lifting.
Qualifications:
- Availability and commitment to specific weekend dates
- Ability to keep a positive, friendly attitude during stressful situations
- Ability to successfully work with a team
- Enjoys selling products and interacting with the public
- Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality
- Must have own transportation to Peddler’s Village
Physical Demands:
- Ability to walk, stand, and be on your feet for hours during Festival weekends in sometimes prevailing weather conditions
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
