Transportation Supervisor

Overview

JOB SUMMARY:  Supervises day-to-day transportation functions to ensure driver performance, customer satisfaction, and that Department and Company objectives for efficiency, reliability, and productivity are met or exceeded.

The hours for this role are  8am - 6:30 pm either Sunday - Wednesday, or Wednesday - Saturday.  

Other shifts are 6 am to 4:30 pm. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT RESPONIBILITY

Supervises up to 50 or more employees, including hourly staff.  Oversees operations with significant impact on GSF customer relations.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Education and experience equivalent to:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in management, supply chain, business, or psychology from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

3 to 6 years of work experience in transportation or food distribution, including supervisory responsibilities and union work environments preferred.

Will consider less experience with strong technology skills, communication skills, and problem solving ability.
