Role

We are seeking a dynamic investment analyst who will lead the underwriting of commercial real estate, operational evaluation and optimization, due diligence, financial development management, capital stack placement and deal sourcing. The position will report directly to the President, Southeast region. Strong desire to learn with a passion for creation of value is a must to succeed in the company’s growing and fast paced environment.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will posses a strong work ethic, high degree of energy, perseverance, responsibility, and communication skills in addition to the technical skills associated within the finance and construction based role. The position has direct opportunity for advancement and elevation of duties with demonstrated success.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Financial underwriting of multiple asset classes including but not limited to multifamily, office, industrial, medical, and specialty

• Proper due diligence on development and acquisition deals

• Competitive market evaluation and comparable database creation

• Return analysis on dynamic market environments and events during the construction process

• Review and enforcement of negotiated documents

• Execution of business strategy during the development timeline

• Excellent coordination with project management team in regards to financial impacts (draws, change orders, etc.)

• Strong computer skills, including a proficiency with excel spreadsheets, databases, and formatting reports

• Creation of standardized reporting documents for quick snapshot of financial position

• Deal sourcing and research across investment platforms and relationships

• Discussion, conversation, and explanation with third party participants across the capital stack

• Input and review of property management and operational activity

• Financial performance review for individual investments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Finance, Economics, Real Estate or related focus

• Experience with investment analysis and underwriting preferred

• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint

• Solid experience in problem solving and ability to meet assigned deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments at once.

• Ability to prioritize and execute in appropriate response times.

• Demonstrate a passion for people, communities, development, and creation of value for stakeholders.
