Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, New Jersey. Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for a number of the Firm's partnership and corporate subsidiaries. Prepare and review electronic working papers that support the information reported on the various tax returns described above. Interact with Controllers group and other interfacing areas of the Firm to obtain information required to calculate and properly report taxable income and apportionment, and complete required tax forms, statements, and disclosures. Prepare various calculations in accordance with ASC 740 (Accounting Standards Codification) and FIN 48 (Financial Accounting Standards Board or FASB No. 48), as well as other calculations used for Firmwide tax planning. Work with tax planning on entity formation and restructuring, in the capacity of registering entities with U.S. tax authorities, maintain tax basis and advising on tax implications.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Public Accounting, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: preparation of federal and multi-state corporate and partnership tax returns; ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes) and FIN 48 (Financial Accounting Standards Board of FASB No. 48); corporate and partnership taxation; tax research and compliances resources; working on multiple tasks and prioritizing competing deadlines accordingly.
Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this Jersey City, New Jersey, United States-based position is $88,000 - $140,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
