Associate

Job Duties : Associate, Financial Accounting with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Support the daily Net Asset Value reviews of around 1,200 prices.

Clear exceptions and sign off on final numbers. Perform large scale analytical procedures on various fund metrics that are necessary for sales and marketing materials, corporate profitability, and portfolio oversight.

Review financial statements, in partnership with the Fund Administrators and external auditors, for compliance with . Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and investor reporting requirements.

Work closely with the Regulatory Reporting Group to facilitate quarterly and annual filings to the SEC. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Fund Services, Legal, Product Controllers and Partnership Service Center for new fund launches, restructuring and liquidations, review of offering documents, assisting on fee structures, liquidation budgets, expense analyses and new instrument trading approvals.

Prepare written materials on recurring and ad-hoc basis for Board of Trustees and senior management (including updates to regulatory requirements, accounting and treasury policies, external accounting agent governance, Funds’ statistics, .

Drive strategic process change and new and enhanced capabilities by partnering with Technology. Consistently exposed to new proprietary and third-party systems and software.

Research various industry developments and share critical components with relevant teams. Conduct oversight and coordination of funds’ major treasury functions.

Job Requirements : Master’s degree (. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (.

or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.

• Must have one (1) year of prior experience with a Master’s degree or three (3) years of prior experience with a Bachelor’s degree with the following : applying analytical research for reconciliation projects to explain variances in the reports and how to correct to be in line with expectations;
• reviewing general ledger and journal entries to analyze and reconcile accounts, and investigate fluctuations among reporting periods, including identification of underlying drivers during analytical reviews;

completing checklist of controls and processes to sign off on data and send information to the next interested party; and utilizing project management skills to facilitate product change projects among internal and interested third parties.
