AWM Strategy Team:
The Asset & Wealth Management Strategy team ("AWM Strategy") partners with senior divisional leadership to solve their most critical strategic issues. The team's remit spans three core pillars: (1) competitive intelligence, (2) business strategy, and (3) corporate development. Through these three pillars, AWM Strategy provides insights and recommendations to drive business growth across both organic and inorganic opportunities.
AWM Strategy regularly engages with senior stakeholders across investments, distribution, and other functional areas in a consultant-like capacity. As trusted strategic advisors, AWM Strategy leverages industry expertise, market perspective, and independent research to help leadership evaluate and prioritize strategic initiatives.
AWM Strategy is seeking a highly-motivated Analyst to join its lean (3-5 person) team in New York. The Analyst position offers candidates a unique opportunity to develop a multi-disciplinary skillset, while gaining exposure to both traditional and alternative asset classes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth competitor analysis and benchmarking; regular monitoring of key competitors' earnings results, investor presentations, etc.
- Landscape the industry, perform market sizing analysis, and identify key trends driving change
- Form independent, fact-based assessments of key opportunities and threats for AWM
- Support screening of potential acquisition targets
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (preferred: finance)
- 1-2 years of experience (preferred: investment banking, equity research, top tier consulting, or asset management)
- Robust analytical, quantitative, and technical abilities(including strong excel skills); financial modeling experience a plus
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex analyses into concise takeaways
- Keen attention to detail
- Experience with Morningstar, FactSet, Visible Alpha, and other market data providers a plus
- Background or strong interest in the asset & wealth management industry
