Job Description
Job Duties: Vice President, Software Engineering with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Implement data processing pipelines capable of efficiently processing and transforming gigabytes of data in a data lake environment using modern big data technologies, frameworks, and application programming interface (APIs). Gather requirements, analyze, and design various components of next generation high through put Corporate Action Processing and regulatory reporting functions that can process millions of payments per day. Design and develop data models for complex Corporate Action Events and outcome of Corporate Action Events to distribute the data required for the execution of various operational and risk management functions such as regulatory reporting, client reporting and confirmation, tax withholding, and derivatives payments. Enhance data models for complex Corporate Action Events to consume the data from vendors and inject into processing and payment workflows. Work with users to perform end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) testing of flows from sourcing Corporate Action Events to making payments to clients.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years (with Master’s) OR five (5) years (with Bachelor’s) with the following: working across the full software development life cycle (SDLC), from initial analysis and requirements gathering with users, through design, development, QA testing and production release; designing and developing secure, distributed, and scalable systems; working with relational databases or NoSQL, microservices architecture, Web architecture components such as NGINX or Apache, and RESTful application programming interface (API); working with a programming language including Java, C , or Python; working with JavaScript language constructs and variants including ES6/7 or Typescript; working with JavaScript frameworks including AngularJS or ReactJS; working with orchestration tools including Gradle, Maven, Git, Subversion, Confluence, or JIRA; performing data modeling and writing complex queries to develop data driven applications and to generate reports; performing data analysis, data model, and querying using Structured Query Language and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools; and working with container orchestration tools including Kubernetes or Docker.
