Summary:
Goldschmitt and Associates is seeking a Project Manager for an onsite position in support of a federal agency.
The Project Manager will ensure that assigned project-based programs adhere to established schedules, specifications, and budgets. They will provide strategic guidance to teams and project managers in ways that promote the company’s culture. The Project Manager will oversee the progress of operations, serve as an excellent leader, and will be experienced in managing a staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. The Porject Manager will be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects.
- Lead and guide the work of technical staff.
- Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
- Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage.
- Monitor progress to ensure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience with proactive communication, orchestrating the right internal resources, and effectively using the customer engagement model to align, track and evolve customer business goals
- Manage multi-level client stakeholder relationships with your portfolio of customers, which includes establishing trusted customer relationships and driving continued value
- Act as the main Customer point of contact throughout the Customer’s entire lifecycle, define a success plan with clear deliverables, and ensure clear communication across the Customer operational areas
- Coordinate the operation of departments to confirm that assigned programs are completed according to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Take proactive steps to minimize delays in delivery.
- Regularly communicate with customers/clients to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss any program problems.
- Ensure that customers and/or clients are regularly informed of the status of the program.
- Regularly communicate with management regarding the program’s status and any problems or potential problems.
- Forecast potential schedule delays and develop alternate plans.
- Work closely with the project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
- Manage project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.
- Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Develop and manage the budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.
- Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess 12 years of experience in project management in projects of similar size, scope, and responsibilities
- Possess a Project Management Professional certification (PMP) and/or certified SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager, and/or similar project management certification.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Possess sole United States citizenship as well as the ability to acquire and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
