Are you a science teacher who enjoys learning new things? We are seeking a dedicated Building Analyst Educator to join our team. The Building Analyst Educator will be responsible for safely teaching classes related to building sciences and conducting hands-on field exams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely teach classes related to building sciences, focusing on energy efficiency, building performance, and safety protocols.
- Conduct hands-on field exams, including oral questions, to assess candidates' understanding and skills in building analysis.
- Administer the Building Analyst Certification exam, ensuring compliance with BPI standards and guidelines.
The training contains gated items that must be completed successfully to pass:
- Candidate prepared combustible gas and CO measurement instruments for use according to ANSI/BPI‐1200.
- Candidate sampled indoor ambient CO levels.
- Candidate sampled indoor ambient air for combustible gas levels on one floor of the house.
- Candidate monitored ambient CO levels in the CAZ during all combustion safety testing and stated results.
- Candidate set combustion appliances to pilot or standby to ensure they do not fire during the blower door test.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in science,, HVAC, or building sciences preferred.
- Previous teaching or training experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Note: If the candidate does not have Building Analyst Certification, training will be provided.
