Job Purpose: Obtains or receives merchandise, totals bill, accepts payment, and makes change for customers in retail store by performing the following duties.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Offers suggestive selling through customer assistance and product knowledge.
- Stocks shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
- Sets up displays or arranges merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales.
- Obtains merchandise requested by customer or receives merchandise selected by customer.
- Answers customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
- Totals price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill.
- Accepts payment and makes change.
- Wraps or bags merchandise for customers.
- Cleans shelves, counters, or tables. Vacuum, sweep, dust, and mop store and work areas. Maintain outside areas at entrances and donation doors.
- Maintain pull schedule.
- Assists with stock rotation and inventory.
- Processes goods for placement in store.
- Assists in providing hands on training to clients assigned to the store.
