BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for working with end users to analyze, diagnose and support Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia’s & the CSRA’s computer systems including desktop/laptop support, network wiring, printers, other peripherals, software, and networks.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Apply systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.
- Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including the installation of computer systems and programs.
- Provides telephone, E-mail, and in-person support.
- Maintain, upgrade, and diagnose existing PC/network inventory.
- Ensure the security of computer systems and protect sensitive and proprietary business information.
- Effectively troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN /Wi-Fi and Point of Sale Systems to minimize downtime.
- Provide general computer support with professional collaboration with the end-user:
- Create users in Office 365, Exchange, and other software.
- Update anti-virus programs and anti-virus strings on all computers.
- Provide input and feedback to the IT Manager on ongoing network, and end-user training, and other IT projects.
- Ability to manage daily IT workflow.
- Be transparent and work towards solutions with the end user.
- Flexibility to perform after-hours support, when needed, to include on-call rotation.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associate's degree in a related discipline and/or professional certification in a related field preferred. At least five years in a technical operational role which would include 2 years of Office 365 experience.
SKILLS NEEDED:
- Demonstrated skill and success in prior positions of similar levels of responsibility.
- Extensive knowledge of PC support with varied OS (Windows 10/Windows 11/MACs), hardware, and software.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair laptops and desktops.
- Strong written, verbal, listening, and team collaboration skill sets.
- Familiar and competent in Microsoft 365.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems related to desktop computers, local printers, scanners, teleconference systems, and peripherals (Android/iOS)
- Ability to troubleshoot Microsoft products including, but not limited to MS Windows and Office; including all aspects of Windows security and Microsoft desktop products.
- On-the-job experience with hardware and software configuration management is preferred.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
TRAVEL:
Approximately 40% travel to provide support to various local locations.
Must have reliable transportation to perform assigned duties.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an office environment, travel to sites, may work in confined spaces, and will work with static-sensitive equipment.

- Requires good physical agility and strength.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
- Must be able to climb ladders and be able to work in confined spaces.
