A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A DONATION ATTENDANT
As a Donation Attendant at Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana, Inc., you are the face of our agency! You play a vital role in supporting our mission of providing services to the community. After all, you are the person who greets our donors and receives donations on behalf of our organization!
You get to interact with different people everyday. As our donors arrive, you will answer the door and help unload the donations and bring them inside to the staging area. You also provide tax receipts. When you aren't assisting a donor, there is always something else to do! The donation area needs to be organized, and items sorted in accordance with company guidelines. Some donations need to be tested to see if they are in good repair. Sometimes, items can be priced and prepared for the sales floor right away. Every day is a little different!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DONATION ATTENDANT
- Ability to be on your feet
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 20 lbs frequently; 50 lbs frequently; and 100 lbs occasionally.
- Customer service skills
Are you friendly? Do you have excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills? Are you reliable and trustworthy? Do you thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment? If so, then you might just be perfect for this position!
