What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach Program Coordinator position at Goodwill Industries of Northern New Engl?
The WS Outreach Program Coordinator's responsibilities include data collection and analysis, representing our organization at community resource & employment fairs, organizing media outreach including the development and management of marketing materials, and development of strategic relationships. Skilled in the use of databases, research methods and handling of administrative duties.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Recruits job seekers to participate in work readiness programs provides workshops, conducts one-on-one sessions, and establishes partnerships in the business community to create occupational opportunities for job seekers with barriers to employment.
- Serves as the representative in the community, engaging in community outreach, resource development, and networking activities to grow and market the program.
- Schedules regular outreach presentations in the community and educate employers and referral partners on our programs
- Assist with service learning, job shadowing, career exploration, etc.
- Oversees employment activities for program participants.
- Responsible for connecting the broader community with our programs
- maintains a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities
- Manages virtual workshop calendar and social media platform content
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 years of experience in workforce development or related fields
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail and organizational skills
- Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel
- Reliable transportation and a valid Maine Driver’s license with a clean driving record
- A Background Check that meets Agency standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS in business, human services, human relations, or related fields
- 2 years of experience in workforce development or related fields
- Knowledge and experience with social media platforms and websites
- Ability to manage multiple projects
