Description
Manages the Supported Employment program and staff to ensure excellent vocational and day service is provided to persons with disabilities within the program. Promotes to community the vocational services provided by Goodwill SCWI.
Supervisory responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains direct reports.
- Oversees the daily workflow of their department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitors performance of team; acts as a resource and facilitates problem-solving.
- Develops leadership skills and provides insight to other leaders within Supported Employment.
- Provides direction and support to Employment Specialists in approaching new and existing employers to expand and/or better meet the needs of those served within the program.
- Communicates with staff through regular department/staff meetings.
- Ensures that service plans are developed, responsive to the individual’s goals, and implemented in partnership with person’s support team and within budget. Acts as advocate for person served.
- Proactive delivery of quality services through regular individual reviews in partnership with Case Managers and support team along with investigating any suspicion of abuse or neglect of an individual or Goodwill services.
- Regularly identifies ways to improve services and outcomes. Interacts with various funding sources, partners, and employers within communities.
- Coordinates incoming individuals for supported employment services and screens referrals to determine appropriate fit.
- Assists in the analysis of outcome measurement data and develops programmatic strategy in partnership with Director.
- Ensure service delivery is high quality and an accordance with service agreement.
- Submit accurate billing using billing standards.
- Make certain staff is utilizing the case management system to complete case notes and documentation accurately and timely.

Requirements

Knowledge of principles and practices associated with supported employment services, specific ADA knowledge, Affirmative Action, Wage & Hour and related employment laws.

Travel Required: Occasional local travel to support community-based program.
Required education and/or work experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Rehabilitation or related education, Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years human services experience along with 1 year supervisory experience.
