JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for partnering with clients, families and school districts to create individualized plans that promote client success in the workplace. Trainers support clients through the utilization of prepared curriculum and measurable outcomes in the areas of life skills, interpersonal skills, and employment skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for partnering with clients, families and school districts to create individualized plans that promote client success in the workplace. Trainers support clients through the utilization of prepared curriculum and measurable outcomes in the areas of life skills, interpersonal skills, and employment skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively manage and train students participating in the Work Experience program.
- Develop an Individual Program Plan for each program participant.
- Identify and create the accommodations that allow participants to complete assigned tasks.
- Teach students retail skills
- Complete required personnel and administrative paperwork promptly.
- Maintain contact with work site supervisors to monitor participant progress in work areas and identify strengths and areas of difficulty.
- Monitor summer programming work experiences when funding is available, and referrals are made for summer work activities.
- Work with Employment Navigators to identify students who will be graduating and need job placement services.
- Monitor work, maintain timesheet, and report progress of Pre-Employment Transition Services (PreETS) students who may be referred during the summer session for job exploration or work-based learning experiences.
- Track and report information to administrative entities and family members.
- Make sound decisions in dealing with the day-to-day activities of participants.
- Ensure participants are prepared to become employed and retain employment.
- Ensure that participant records are organized and legible per Goodwill policies and procedures and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) requirements.
- Meet or exceed performance expectations defined in the Program Evaluation efficiency, effectiveness, and satisfaction measures.
- Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of students, staff, and customers.
- Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma required
- Experience working with diverse populations preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- First Aid/CPR Certification required
- Certified Employment Support Professional (C.E.S.P.) preferred
