Distribution Coordinator - Homeless Shelter - Colorado Springs, CO

Goodwill Staffing is seeking candidates for our client's Distribution Coordinator position. The person in this role is responsible for safely and courteously procuring, sorting, storing, and distributing Gifts-In-Kind. This role will also be responsible for the regular maintenance of SRM fleet vehicles.

This is a temporary role that has the potential to become a regular, full-time position with benefits. This is a full-time position.

Pay Rate: $17.00/hour

Work Schedule: Full-time schedule.

This job is eligible for Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act.

Job Summary

Under the supervision and direction of the Distribution Manager, the person in this role is responsible for safely and courteously procuring, sorting, storing, and distributing Gifts-In-Kind. This role will also be responsible for the regular maintenance of SRM fleet vehicles

Essential Functions

  • Supervises Samaritan SharePoint: a poverty relief distribution center.
  • Works with Donations team to execute the intake, proper storage, and distribution of Gifts-In-Kind
  • Supervises the Samaritan SharePoint “store” and properly documents items that go out.
  • Collaborates with Vocational Training Manager
  • Teaches the distribution and transportation curriculum
  • Works with vocational trainees to ensure quality of work.
  • Completes and submits monthly reports if asked by supervisor
  • Receive and follow instructions and route information regarding donation pick-ups.
  • Responsible for making sure vehicles have been fueled, oiled, and inspected regularly.
  • Operate vehicles at all times in a safe manner, complying with all laws and policies.
  • Clean interior and exterior of vehicles on a daily basis.
  • Visually inspect vehicles for any needed repairs or maintenance.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting to supervisor regarding any maintenance or repair needed.
  • Complete all recordkeeping, documentation, and paperwork as required.
  • Attends all required meetings and reviews emails regularly

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience

  • Previous experience driving for a workplace or business, to include in inclement weather
  • Car maintenance experience for a workplace or business highly desirable

Other

  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
  • In this role, you may be required to drive on behalf of client utilizing company vehicle and/or your personal vehicle. In accordance with that, a valid driver’s license, current proof of insurance and/or clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years is required. To ensure the safety of our employees and compliance with state and federal law, client utilizes ongoing Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring where MVR reports may be run randomly to ensure you have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record if utilized as driver.
  • Working environment includes shelter environment, business office environment, campus of the client, and driving motor vehicles on streets and highways. Requires routine work in inclement weather.
  • Valid Colorado driver's license - acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Highly trustworthy and conscientious - dependable and responsible
  • Must be able to read, write and perform basic mathematical computations
  • Able and willing to receive and follow instructions
  • Personable, courteous, respectful, and professional in interactions with others
  • Able to safely complete duties in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of Colorado Springs area including the ability to utilize navigational tools
  • Knowledge of safe handling and lifting techniques
