Position Description:
The role of SAP SCM Solutions Architect is responsible for evaluating Goodyear Americas Supply Chain business needs and determining the best IT solution to support those goals, while still aligning with our global solutions. This role will lead upgrades, enhancements, and future implementations in support of any Supply Chain business transformation efforts in an SAP Supply Chain Lead / APO environment, with a focus on Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Inventory Planning. Overall support of project efforts in a full life cycle approach as well as working with business stakeholder and offshore development teams will be included in the responsibilities. Building relationships with and among the Supply Chain and IT leadership, developing a knowledge base of best practices, and developing and executing formal training sessions will be the key to success in this role.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Analyze business/technical opportunities and translate a process into practice through the use of SAP. Project involvement is multi-disciplinary and complex in scope. Proactively identify enhancements that will meet changing business/technical needs
- Develop strategic processes and direction for projects. Plan/manage integration and implementation of new technology or business/technical processes.
- Create, track and manage project work plans (including resource commitments). Deliver on-time and under budget.
- Assume leadership role in medium-to-large size initiative(s) by playing the part of a Project Manager, Facilitator or Sub-Team Lead.
- Prepare and present reporting results on current initiatives to Upper Management.
Required Experience and Education:
- Bachelors’ degree in related field or in lieu of degree 12 years of Information Technology experience
- 7 more years of experience in functional work or IT support work in a specific business/technical process area preferably in SAP SCM and APO Demand Planning.
Personal Skills/Attributes/and Qualifications:
- Specific knowledge of the current Microsoft Office Product Suite, Project Planning Tools/Requirements and Business Process Mapping.
- Excellent Presentation (meeting leadership and facilitation) Skills.
- Specific knowledge of ECC 6.0 (or later) - Supporting business/technical processes.
- Specific knowledge of cross-functional business/technical process areas and IT Technologies incorrectly affected.
