Attorney – Sioux City, Sioux Falls, Omaha, or Okoboji - Estate Planning, Litigation, Business Transaction, Banking & Financial Services
The Goosmann Law Firm is seeking Attorneys to join its high growth firm and deliver quality timely legal advice. The Attorney will represent clients in legal proceedings as needed by the specialty area of law for the Attorney. The Attorney is an advocate who is familiar with court pleadings, court processes and has experience working with business owners, institutions, and individuals. A successful candidate for this position will consistently provide excellent advice and guidance to our clients on a variety of legal matters.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Managing multiple clients, cases and legal activities that carry varying deadlines.
- Collaborating with clients and their advisors to develop strategies designed to meet specific goals.
- Business development, including professional organization involvement and writing.
- Supervising paralegals, staff, and team members as your role progresses.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Ability to communicate complex matters concisely and effectively in oral and written form.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Successful passing of the bar exam
- Active member in good standing of the Bar or currently eligible to become licensed, to practice law in either Iowa, South Dakota or Nebraska.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in specific area of law
- Strong work ethic, drive, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
Preferred Experience:
- 7-10 years of specific experience.
- Excellent academic and professional credentials.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
