Stockroom Attendant

We currently have a position open in our Bellville, Ohio, facility.
Position Summary
Perform duties to select finished, semi-finished and purchased parts from bins/skids for delivery to production.
Pack, weigh, label and prepare finished product, and repair parts for shipments for customers. Perform receiving duties related to incoming production parts, etc. Work with bills of material, order information & written or verbal instructions. Use cartons, wrapping paper, styrofoam fill, plywood bases, box stapler, tape machine, wire bander, stitcher, scales, hand truck, pallet, truck, hoist, hydraulic lift truck, order picker, step ladder, stenciling, heat seal equipment and postage meter.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
- Utilize ERP system for determining stock location.
- Fold and prepare cardboard cartons. Maintain supply of cartons and plywood for shipment purposes
- Requisition supplies. Pull parts from bins.
- Check parts against order, lot number & quantity specified.
- Deliver parts to the appropriate area in the Manufacturing Department.
- Follows established production procedures and instructions.
- Meets quality and safety standards.
- Meets deadlines.
- Properly package items for shipment to customers. Check shipment for item correctness, quantity, or apparent damage prior to packaging.
- Select carton and pack, position parts or unit, protect bill depending on type of shipment used.
- Keeps supervisor informed of area activities and of any significant concerns. Identifies problems and provides suggestions.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Pull production orders. Select bill of material or other specified parts, items, or components and place on skid, container or hand truck to be moved to work stations.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Completes reports and documents accurately and timely as required.
Education/Certification
High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience Required
At least one (1) year of experience in operating manufacturing equipment.
Required Knowledge
- Knowledge of Windows based software programs
- Understanding of basic principles of machine operation.
- Understanding of production standards and procedures.
- Understanding of manufacturing setting.
Skills/Abilities
- Quality orientation and attentive to detail.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Cooperative and willing to assist others.
- Ability to closely follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Activities and Requirements of this Position
Medium work; exerting up to 60 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly.
Bending, stretching, reaching, grasping, lifting, climbing, walking frequently (up to 50% of the day), standing and/or sitting frequently (up to 50% of the day).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per year
