Our educational institution is seeking a dedicated LCSW to join our School Mental Health Team. You will provide vital mental health services in a diverse and unique school setting, positively affecting the lives of students.

You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to address the mental health needs of our student body.

Work Schedule:

● Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

● Occasional evening shifts may be required based on the operational needs of the school.

● Rotating weekends may be scheduled to ensure comprehensive coverage for student mental health services.

● Some on-call availability may be necessary to respond to urgent mental health situations.

Responsibilities:

● Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for students, considering their personal history, presenting concerns, and risk factors.

● Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with students, focusing on addressing mental health issues, promoting emotional well-being, and facilitating successful integration into the school community.

● Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy, to address a range of mental health concerns.

● Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to facilitate personal growth, emotional regulation, and effective coping strategies.

● Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners, to coordinate care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.

● Offer crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and making appropriate referrals for higher levels of care if needed.

● Provide psychoeducation to students and their families, empowering them to understand mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources.

● Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other necessary records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

● Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and staff development activities to enhance knowledge and promote collaboration.

● Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines pertaining to mental health practice within school settings.

Qualifications:

● Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

● Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state.

● Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a mental health or educational setting.

● Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care.

● Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and formulating appropriate treatment plans.

● Experience in delivering individual and group therapy, utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches.

● Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.

● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds

● Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and ethics.

● Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer proficiency.

● Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues from various disciplines.

Pay and Benefits:
