Job Overview
Reporting to the Transportation Safety Manager and provide support, direction, and guidance to all commercial vehicle operators. Work with and through divisional operation team members to ensure compliance with safety and compliance procedures and regulations.
What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include:
- Ensure overall compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Create and maintain all driver qualification files & documents.
- Employment verification, submit, review, process, and upload per federal guidelines.
- Review, monitor, maintain, compliance with all drivers with the Hours-of-Service regulations.
- Assist all Team Members & coach as needed with edits or general questions.
- Assist with compiling accidents documents as needed.
- Communicate and collaborate with Transportation Supervisor & Manager
- to identify retraining needs.
- Assist with Annual Review processes to ensure trends are captured to ensure accuracy across the fleet.
- Monitoring of Roadside Inspections and file compliance.
- Keep and report repeat offenders for HOS violations, Roadside inspection violations or citations.
- Report to divisional managers 30,60,90-day expiring documents.
- Assist with Orientation as needed.
Things you need to be able to do:
- Advanced Organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with internal departments, management, and vendors.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Communication via phone calls, emails, text, and in person.
- Data entry with advanced attention to details.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Three to five years minimum strong administrative and data entry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Some moderate physical exertion on a regular basis due to ongoing audits and training responsibilities.
Things that are a plus:
- Excellent Computer, communication, and training skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent follow-up and record keeping.
- Experience in OSHA, FMCSA, and EPA regulatory agencies A PLUS.
- Highschool graduate or GED.
