Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Business Analyst for USPS. This position will be located in Washington, DC and is onsite.
Responsibilities
Coordinates with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls. Provides technical/functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, developing, and supporting systems. They have the business knowledge and perspective of a particular business and the IT needs of that customer. Requires knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes, and work flows. May also be functional experts in financial, program control or logistical areas.
May be required to create time sensitive deliverables and respond directly to incidents in ServiceNow.
Conducts data analysis in support of product acceptance programs and initiatives; collects and analyzes data to identify trends and insights and summarize findings. Develops reports and makes recommendations based on results.
- May lead project teams within assigned unit to develop, plan and manage project tasks
- Analyzes package mail entry data to reconcile customer payments; monitors and ensure customer payments are received accurately and timely. Develops and presents recommendations to management to improve the monitoring and accuracy of revenue collection. Collaborates with stakeholders to reconcile customer accounts and payments and determine if refunds are warranted.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)Work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
- Independently analyze and develop innovative resolutions for complex problems involving availability and/or performance at the component level.
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing and provide training.
- Able to obtain a Public Trust.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
