Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for maintaining all records associated with, but not limited to, sales & use taxes, business licenses and property taxes. Other responsibilities will include, but not limited to, assisting with external audit data collection, fixed asset reporting as well as month end journal entry and reconciliation preparation. This position will require the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income. Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. Prepares various accounting schedules and reports. May design, modify, install, and/or maintain accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions. Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
1. Prepares financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close plan.
2. Analyzes financial statements, and investigates and reports on variances.
3. Prepares tax returns and other corporate reporting requirements.
4. Assists with preparations for the annual audit.
5. Corresponds with other departments to ensure proper accounting for revenue, purchases and expenses.
Qualifications
Bachelor's with 0 - 2 years (or commensurate experience)
