We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Federal Construction Safety Manager to join our team in Bremerton, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety on federal construction projects. You will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, and you will work closely with project teams to promote a culture of safety across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with OSHA, federal, and local safety regulations, as well as project-specific safety requirements.
- Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential safety hazards and enforce corrective measures to mitigate risks.
- Safety Training: Develop, implement, and oversee safety training programs for all site personnel, ensuring that all employees are informed of safety practices and emergency procedures.
- Incident Management: Lead investigations into safety incidents, accidents, or near-misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Safety Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of safety inspections, incident reports, training logs, and regulatory compliance to ensure readiness for audits.
- Safety Culture: Foster a strong safety culture by promoting safety awareness, encouraging reporting of unsafe conditions, and recognizing safe work practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management, preferably on federal projects.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, federal safety standards, and best practices in construction safety.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar safety certification is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
