About Us:
For more than 50 years, Gowanda Base Technologies has been a leader in the design, manufacture, and supply of precision electronic components for RF, microwave, and power applications. Components include standard off-the-shelf and custom-designed inductors, chips, chokes, coils, conicals, toroids, transformers, and magnetic devices in surface mount and axial-leaded (thru-hole) configurations that are used in a wide variety of electronic applications around the world. The company offers RoHS-compliant products as well as lead-containing components for QPL military/defense and other demanding requirements. Non-magnetic inductors are also available for situations where magnetic components would compromise system performance, as in medical imaging (MRI) equipment.
About the Position:
Will perform assemble or modify small electronic precision components that will satisfactorily meet customer and part specifications, usually with supervision. Demonstrates the ability to work with limited supervision and may be called to rotate to a wide array of operations throughout the facility.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5am - 1:30pm
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Willing to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, extra if needed.
- Should have good problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently or in a team environment.
- Effectively able to do highly accurate work on medium to very small parts.
- Must be able to stop and restart on a project as other emergencies appear.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience:
- None needed, the company will train.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Basic math, ability to add up daily totals, calculate hours worked on an order, for example.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to follow and interpret routine reports and correspondence.
- Effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- The ability to log work orders into the MRP.
