We’re helping our GROWING client search for a full-time, permanent position of Automotive Painter (2nd Shift).
The main objective of the Automotive Painter (2nd Shift) is to perform and monitor all paint kitchen activities to meet the daily production schedule.
Automotive Painter (2nd Shift) Responsibilities:
- Storing and organizing all paint chemicals in the paint kitchen as per established procedures
- Monitoring and recording raw and reduced viscosities for all batches used
- Reducing paint in accordance with the reduction ratio as per the specification sheets and loading paint and paint products into the paint pump systems
- Communicate as required with Robot Attendants and production Supervisors any issues regarding daily production
- Assist management in activities in developing the preventive maintenance schedule, in creating the paint application program for all incoming jobs
- Performing unloading and loading of paint and solvents, specifically reclaim and scrap materials, as per Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) requirements, ensuring manifests are accurately completed as per regulations
- Communicate with the Paint Kitchen Lead Hand (TEC only) and Maintenance Department regarding necessary repairs
- Work in compliance and communicate with the companies outside paint supplier
Automotive Painter (2nd Shift) Qualifications:
- A Minimum of two years’ Paint experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Capable of calculating thinner and paint ratios as per the paint specification sheets
- Ability to lift and move paints from wooden pallet to storage and paint/mix rooms
- Must possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Preference will be given to those with a technical degree, diploma, or with equivalent work experience in manufacturing
Automotive Painter (2nd Shift) Training Requirements (or ability to obtain):
- Ability to pass a color-blind test
- Lockout Procedures Training
- Respirator training
- Quality, Environmental and Safety (QMS – EMS) training
- Health & Safety Training
Automotive Painter (2nd Shift) Compensation:
- Competitive wage (Depends on Experience)
