Top Hand Broadcast Towers Technician
Position Overview: A very reputable and well recognized company in the industry with a small family feel is seeking a skilled and experienced Top Hand Broadcast Towers Technician to join their team. As a Top Hand Technician (Broadcast), you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of broadcast towers and related equipment. You will work at heights to ensure the smooth operation and optimal performance of broadcast towers, ensuring uninterrupted transmission of signals for radio and television stations. This position requires expertise in tower climbing, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years climbing tall tower industry experience-Proficient in tower climbing techniques and comfortable working at heights.
- Crosby Rigging certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various tower sites as needed.
- Good driving record last (3-5 years)
- Ability to able to lift heavy equipment (80) pounds and climb towers.
- Strong knowledge of broadcast tower equipment, including antennas, transmission lines, coaxial cables, amplifiers, and connectors.
- Strong knowledge of rigging and lifting operations
- Ability to read, write and speak in English.
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time
- Available to work nights and weekends along with regular work week hours (OT)
- Ability to follow instructions.
- 10-hour OSHA, preferably 30-hour OSHA card
- Ability to organize tasks and direct others in those tasks.
- Ability to complete administrative paperwork, safety meetings, Job hazard analysis, timecards and work completion forms.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
