Position Title: Cattle Farm Hand
Cattle Farm Hand Overview:
Gpac has partnered with a thriving cattle ranch with 5000 head of cattle. Seeking a hardworking individual to fill the role of Cattle Farm Hand. This position is integral to the daily operations of the ranch.
Cattle Farm Hand Key Responsibilities:
- Livestock Care: Attend to the daily needs of cattle, including feeding, watering.
- Calving Assistance: Provide assistance during calving season, ensuring the health and safety of newborn calves and their mothers.
- Fencing and Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain and repair fencing, gates, and other infrastructure to secure and manage the cattle effectively.
- Herd Management: Assist in herd health management, including vaccinations, disease prevention, and treatment under the guidance of the ranch veterinarian.
- Pasture Rotation: Implement and assist in pasture rotation strategies for optimal grazing and land management.
- Equipment Operation: Operate ranch equipment such as tractors, feeders, and trucks as needed.
- Daily Reporting: Keep accurate records of daily activities, herd movements, and any health or behavioral observations.
Cattle Farm Hand Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cattle ranching or livestock care is highly desirable.
- Understanding of cattle behavior.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of basic ranching equipment and maintenance.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a genuine passion for working with cattle.
