Collision Body Shop Estimator
We are seeking a Body Shop Estimator to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Body Shop/Collision Estimator.
Essential Duties
- Examine damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage.
- Estimate cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
- Review repair cost estimates with body shop manager or foreman.
- Determine feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders and doors.
- Evaluate practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident.
- Determine salvage value on total vehicle loss.
- Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
- Estimate cost of repainting, converting to special purposes or customizing undamaged vehicles.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Test Drive Vehicles. All work must be reviewed, and quality control checked for any defects, color match, indicator lights, and repair followed per estimate before paperwork is finalized.
- Handles all customers’ concerns if job is rejected and follows through until completed.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with insurance adjusters.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with fellow staff members in both collision center and service/parts departments and customers.
Qualifications

- Proficient in CTC1
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary : $68,000 - $80,000
