As the Estimator, you'll lead the meticulous evaluation of quotes, bids, and budgets for upcoming residential projects, with a focus on exterior construction.
This pivotal role requires an expert understanding of construction materials and methodologies, particularly within the realm of bespoke and production residences.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze project blueprints and specifications to grasp project scope and requirements.
- Evaluate project bids and budgets for competitiveness and profitability.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to gather essential data for estimates.
- Explore alternative materials and construction approaches to optimize project costs.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to clarify project details and address inquiries.
- Monitor project budgets, providing updates as needed throughout the estimation process.
Requirements :
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project estimation, preferably in residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and methodologies, especially in exterior residential projects.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and construction specifications.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines effortlessly.
