An industry leader in post-frame construction is looking for a Superintendent to add to their growing team. The company has been in business for over 80 years and has operations around the country. The Superintendent position supports the Project Manager and Sales Consultant, ensuring a high-quality construction experience for customers, while delivering the project on time and under budget.
Responsibilities:
- Involvement in pre-sale activities; including participation in design meetings with potential customers, providing construction expertise, and assisting with the prequalification of potential projects.
- Develops and maintains subcontractor relationships, monitoring the performance of the subcontractors, and intervening if necessary.
- Establishes a project plan and ensures the appropriate allocation of staff necessary to meet project timeline.
- Monitoring progress; ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed, project complies with building plans and contract documents, and subcontractor work meets quality and scope requirements.
- Oversees completion phase activities, including review and completion of punch list.
- Some additional duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or 5 years of construction management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven leadership skills
- Proficient working with project planning software (e.g. Microsoft Project) and an ability to develop coherent plans
- Familiarity with construction and project management system
- Occasional travel
