DETAILING MANAGER - STRUCTURAL STEEL
Qualifications
- 5 Years of Detailing / Drafting Industry Experience.
- Proficient with SDS / 2 and / or Tekla.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is highly preferred.
- Extensive experience working with steel fabrication blueprint
- Knowledge of blueprint symbols and terminology
- Understanding of bill of material and material shapes, grades, and sizes
- Communication skills necessary to manage team members
- Ability to work with detailers, customers, and engineers to set schedules and manage document flow
- TEKLA EPM / TEKLA POWERFAB
- Ability to check photos for errors
Responsibilities
- The Detailing Manager ensures all internally detailed prints are accurate and done on a timely basis
- Overseeing the production of Shop and Erection Drawings
- Schedule drawing production with engineers and detailers
- Develop and maintain company detailing standards and detailing procedures
- Manage transmittals of the owner's designated representative and consultants
- Ensure all project requirements and contract documents are reviewed and incorporated into shop and erection drawings
- Train Detailers and Checkers
- Ensure the detailing team is working with the latest contract drawings
- Drawing changes
- Any other duties that may be assigned
