Position: Diesel Mechanic (with Waste Hauling Experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines used in waste hauling vehicles, including garbage trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
- Repair and replace components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems to ensure reliable performance.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform repairs as needed to keep vehicles operational.
- Adhere to preventive maintenance schedules and follow manufacturer guidelines for servicing waste hauling equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts inventory, and service history.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with specific experience in the waste hauling industry.
- Relevant certifications or technical training in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of waste hauling equipment and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues in diesel-powered vehicles.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
