Job Title: Employee Benefits Account Manager
We are seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing employee benefits programs for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare pre-renewal, renewal, and marketing reports to ensure seamless benefits administration.
- Compare health plan benefits and costs to provide clients with informed decision-making.
- Calculate employee contributions and develop strategies to meet client budgetary requirements.
- Prepare annual client service plans to ensure ongoing benefits administration.
- Collect new client information to ensure accurate benefits administration.
- Author correspondence, communication materials, and compliance notices as required.
- Negotiate rates and benefits with carriers to secure the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Audit client information, premium, and commission splits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Health & Life License REQUIRED
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and carriers.
- Ability to assist the Producer in organizing and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to create reports and presentations.
- Knowledge of employee benefits/health plan implementation and administration.
- Knowledge of regulatory issues such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and various state and federal regulations specific to health insurance.
- Ability to negotiate rates and benefits with carriers.
