Summary of Responsibilities:
Achieve a high level of client satisfaction while delivering an excellent quality of legal representation. Meet or exceed requirements as set forth by the State Bar, and the local and state governing bodies. Develop and apply skills used in the practice of law and the building of legal practice.
Key Specific Responsibilities:
- Achieve a high level of client satisfaction
- Facilitate the collection of client survey data for closed client files.
- Communicate with clients with a frequency to meet client needs.
- Manage and Address client needs and expectations, including managing upset clients
- Deliver excellent quality of legal representation
- Provide excellent legal analysis and understanding of law to clients
- Draft documents with attention to detail and a high degree of legal acumen
- Utilize negotiation skills and ADR to successfully resolve client matters
- Conduct all litigated matters with high degree of preparation and competency to achieve superior results
- Keep updated on emerging legal issues by reading legal periodicals and journals
- Participate, in firm meetings and processes to promote the firm's Core Values, including, but not limited to Primary Aim Meetings, Courtesy System, Daily/Weekly/Monthly team meetings, one to ones, and case status meetings
- Meet or exceed professional requirements as set forth by the State Bar
- Maintain valid State Bar licensure
- Maintain adequate CLE credit per State Bar requirements
- Meet procedural requirements and deadlines as set forth by state courts.
- Pursue educational and training opportunities to develop and apply legal practice skills.
- Seek out internal and external opportunities to build legal practice skills
- Actively seek out cases and assignments to broaden legal skills, abilities and experience
- Pursue educational and training opportunities to develop and apply skills used in the building of a legal practice.
- Develop a network of personal referral sources to aid in the origination of business
- Participate in community groups and public works to promote personal and firm reputation and awareness in community
Summary of Accountabilities:
Provide clients with consistent excellent representation yielding high levels of client satisfaction and quality of practice. Conduct practice in such a fashion as to meet and exceed both internal and external standards, including those set by the State Bar. Actively advance professional growth, including improvement of professional skills and education
Qualifications Required of This Position:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- License to practice law in California
- Computer proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to listen effectively
- Ability to have empathy for others
- Background in communications or journalism is helpful
