Position Responsibilities :
- Prepare timely and accurate estimates and budgets for various commercial construction projects, including educational, healthcare, and multifamily buildings.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather accurate information and ensure all project requirements are met.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope of work to determine project costs and produce detailed estimates.
- Utilize a range of programs and software to generate accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and availability of materials.
Position Essential Job Functions :
- Conduct thorough and detailed reviews of project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and estimate labor, material, and equipment costs.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop value engineering and cost-saving strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and material costs.
Position Skills :
- 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
- Demonstrated good tenure with previous employers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Diverse commercial background and experience with a range of programs and software.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents.
