Job Title: Farm Manager
Farm Manager Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of farm operations, including planting, harvesting, irrigation, and crop/livestock management.
- Develop and implement farm policies, procedures, and budgets to ensure efficient and profitable operations.
- Hire, train, and supervise farm staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor crop/livestock health and implement pest control and disease management strategies as necessary.
- Maintain farm equipment and infrastructure, ensuring proper maintenance and repair.
- Manage inventory and procurement of farm supplies, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, food safety standards, and health and safety protocols.
- Monitor market trends and prices to optimize farm production and profitability.
- Collaborate with other departments, stakeholders, and external partners as needed.
Farm Manager Qualifications:
- Proven experience in farm management or a related agricultural role.
- Strong knowledge of crop/livestock production practices, agronomy, and agricultural technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in farm management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
