Fiber Optic Splicer
Fiber Optic Splicer Responsibilities:
- Prepping and splicing of fiber optic cables in pedestals and enclosures
- Knowledge in OTDR, power meter and PON testing
- Experience in splicing and repairs of new and existing plant, buried and aerial cables using all types of methods
- Ability to perform cutovers, cable throws and working with live circuits
- Learn how to properly test and troubleshoot fiber optic networks for acceptance and trouble identification
Fiber Optic Splicer Qualifications:
- 2- year degree in related field; or 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
