What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Manager position at gpac?
The Fleet Manager is accountable for leading the company's fleet vehicle administration, new inventory and rental fleet management including cost and inventory control. Additionally, you will support branch operations and other shared services. You will work daily with external suppliers and team members to ensure timely and accurate ordering of products and services, to be delivered on time at the targeted cost and quality. Additionally, this position is accountable for the development and implementation of the regional fleet management plan including all maintenance activities, all compliance requirements and management of a 5-year capex forecast and plan.

Qualifications
- Assist with integration of policies/procedures to incorporate best practices and ensure cost effective and efficient fleet operations for the combined organization.
- Assist with identifying synergy opportunities and execution of new initiatives.
- Work with the DOT Manager to set standards, identify targets, and develop/maintain policies to ensure continuing and increasing cost efficiencies, operational effectiveness, and safety
- Develops monthly measurable metrics on fleet performance
- Works to develop and manage service level agreements with suppliers
- Coordinate all outside fleet repairs, identify and place orders for repairs/replacement parts for vehicles and equipment
- Implement any new PM programs or procedures implemented by CLIFTY
- Track fleet usage and maintenance, keep accurate inventory of equipment
- Ensure all maintenance records are up to date and prepare regular weekly/monthly maintenance records
- Assist in managing vehicle specification, selection, and procurement
- Audits and administers payment of multiple monthly fleet invoices. Ensure compliance with internal purchasing procedures and policies
- Prepares cost analysis on an as-needed basis
- Develops monthly consolidated fleet cost reporting of costs from multiple suppliers
- Identifies and executes cost saving and avoidance opportunities
- Effectively develops tools, processes, and reports to communicate, analyze and make effective recommendations in key areas of responsibility
- As part of continuous improvement, identify areas and tasks which can be outsourced to key suppliers
- Project leader for various transformation initiatives. Work closely with vendors and internal team members to implement new programs/processes to drive increased value
- Assist in upcoming Fleet RFPs specifically OEM by completing all necessary analysis to award business
- Develops and manages 5-year capex forecast
- Recommends capital projects for fleet improvements and new services
- Works closely with Branch Managers to ensure the transportation fleet meets the needs of CLIFTY's customers
- 5 years of experience in fleet management, finance, supply chain management and/or purchasing
- Preferably, a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or finance
- Ability to perform in a diverse and matrix organization
- Previous experience managing a medium/large sized fleet of specialty vehicles
