Job Title: Estimator for Excavation and Site Development

gpac, a family-owned, family-run search firm, is partnered with a Sitework and Excavation Contractor in New Jersey with over 40 years’ in the industry. They specialize in full-service site work and excavation for commercial, industrial, retail site development, utilities, infrastructure projects and NJDOT projects. They are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Estimator.

Estimator Position Essential Job Functions:

• An engineering or project management degree but not necessary. Skillset and experience are important.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience estimating in in site work and excavation.
• Review blueprints, bid documents, specifications, geotechnical and environmental reports and prepare RFI’s.
• Proven skills in quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimating techniques.
• Be aggressive with bids and find a lead worth chasing.
• Be good with changing orders and minimize costs.
• Proficiency in HCSS Heavy Bid (Estimating) software a plus.
• Autonomy with the Estimator position.
