As an Escrow Officer, your primary responsibilities include providing escrow operations and settlements services for significant real estate and lending transactions, understanding and staying updated with federal, state, and local laws, regulations and closing procedures, ensuring that all related documents are accurately completed, and communicating with internal and external customers throughout the closing process.
The essential job functions of the position include :
- Examine title documents and clear title requirements
- Ensure closing process is complete including compliance with all real estate contracts, lender instructions, and title insurance requirements
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, local ordinances and industry standards.
- Prepare Closing Disclosure statements / HUDS, title affadavits and other required documents necessary for closing
- Wires, payoffs, estoppels, lien searches, balancing files
- Review title commitments, title policies and surveys.
- Resolve title issues, including working with lenders, attorneys, buyers, sellers and realtors.
- Perform any and all clerical and administrative duties required for the proper execution of respective job duties
- Perform general office functions, as needed
- Software skills necessary to provide services identified above
- Must have a Missouri notary
- Florida title license preferred
- Manage customer accounts.
- Provide customer support.
- High stress tolerance thrives in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, strong problem solving & prioritization skills
The ideal candidate must be a Missouri licensed title closer, Missouri notary and have 3-5 years of experience in the title industry.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks are essential.
