A corrugated manufacturing industry leader currently has an exciting opportunity available for an Industrial Maintenance Tech (2nd & 3rd Shift). As an Industrial Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and general maintenance of mechanical systems of plant/production machinery, as well as, installing, servicing, modifying, and repairing wiring, conduits, fixtures, and related electronic controls of varying design or complexity in an industrial setting.
Essential Job Functions
- Follow all safety and company policies, reporting any issues, accidents, or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned.
- Analyze, trouble-shoot, and repair mechanical and electrical problems of plant machinery and plant in general.
- Perform maintenance and electrical function and troubleshoot to correct inefficiencies and prevent equipment downtime by completing regular PM's.
- Work within specifications and drawings, responsible for ensuring completion, minimizing waste within set dates and times.
- Ensure the maintenance and preventive maintenance of corrugating plant process equipment to achieve world class results; ensure all equipment is running properly and meets operational requirement.
- Work with maintenance crew to carry out maintenance and repair projects in mechanical, fabrication, plumbing, welding functions.
- Other corrective and preventive maintenance duties to be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
- Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including federal and/or state required environmental systems, OSHA Safety and Health rules, fire and electrical safety codes and manuals, and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including Management, employees, and vendors.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
- 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of technical school education and experience.
- Electrical license required, and 2 years minimum of formal technical school training in the principles of electricity and electrical design.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Working knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Systems, computers in an industrial environment including hardware, software configuration and troubleshooting, network configuration and troubleshooting
- Ability to read schematics and trouble-shoot various pneumatic, hydraulic systems, working knowledge of PLC's and motors
- Knowledge of computer and automated machines.
- Strong maintenance, plumbing, electrical background (manufacturing preferred) in AC/DC motor control, troubleshooting, and electrical wiring codes.
- Excellent people skills and communication, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic with emphasis on safety.
